How it Works - (cont.)

typical probe locationTypical AOA Probe Location
Alpha Systems AOA system was designed to take advantage, in most aircraft, of an inspection cover location that could be identified in clean air flow (undisturbed air) at ALL angles, from Cruise to Stall, and ALL flight attitudes, Slips or Skids and no part of the aircraft blocking with NO disrupted air into the AOA probe. Typical installation requirements are 1.) 2 foot outside the propeller ark, 2.) 6” back from the leading edge, 3.) 6” up from the trailing edge and not blocked as described above at
ALL attitudes.

AOA probeAOA Probe and Mounting Plate
Our AOA probe is permanently attached with NO moving parts. This probe sends its’ AOA information corresponding to the AOA of the aircraft. The Blue and white arrows indicate the AOA sense ports that constantly samples any change of differential pressures when in flight, slow flight, take offs and landings.
