Cardinals are capable of flying into some remarkable places, including short fields and grass runways. Various products help you move the edge of the envelope, but our Alpha Systems AOA products help you see it.

Angle of Attack is a part of all our training, yet most aircraft have no way to display it. Military pilots use it, as do many other professional pilots and there's no reason we should not be using it as well.

Alpha Systems has two types of displays, either of which will work nicely in a Cardinal. Install it within your line of sight so it will be visible at all times. This is a far better solution than having a small AOA scale tucked within a larger instrument on your panel, as you won't be looking at the panel at the moment when AOA is critical.

Eagle Display

KIT FEATURES

The Eagle kit has a display that is a chevron plus diamond style display. With the chevron plus diamond display, when you come in for a landing you want to fly to the blue donut (on speed for landing). Should you come in with too low of an angle of attack, the yellow chevron will light up and tell you to put your nose up. Should you come in with too high of an angle of attack, the red chevron will light up and tell you nose down.

Three point calibration process, programmed on remote switch panel, to aircraft specific lift curve.
16 different LED brightness levels from ultra dim to very bright.

Falcon Display

KIT FEATURES

The Falcon kit has a vertical light bar style display. With the vertical light bar display, when you come in for a landing you want to fly to the blue LED (on speed for landing). Should you come in with too low of an angle of attack, the display will illuminate into the yellow, telling you to put your nose up. Should you come in with too high of an angle of attack, the display will illuminate red, telling you to put your nose down.

Flaps for Cardinal owners

Alpha Systems now provides a way to read the flap position through our exclusive flap transmitter kit.

This kit senses the change of the flap position and feeds the signal to the I/O module accurately indicating flap position.
